Grief and depression appear similar, and sometimes happen simultaneously. It is important to recognize the differences, so you may care for each effectively and seek the correct help. While initially intense, natural grief becomes more fluid and changes with time. Long lasting symptoms is a discerning factor and may signal a different diagnosis.

The following are simple differences between natural grieving and clinical depression:
