Hosparus Health is celebrating the success of its Campbellsville Thrift Shoppe by extending the store’s business hours by one hour each day, to 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 4. The Thrift Shoppe, located at 1488 Old Lebanon Road, Suite B, opened its doors last October. Both donations and sales have grown steadily during its first year of operation. The Shoppe has raised nearly $15,000 for hospice and palliative care patients and their families to date.

“We’re so grateful to the Campbellsville community for their tremendous support of our Thrift Shoppe over the past year,” says Thrift Shoppe Manager Moira Taylor. “By extending our hours, we’re excited to be able to better accommodate our customers and encourage some first-time shoppers to check out our store. Staying open for an extra hour of shopping each day has the potential to significantly increase our sales, and the proceeds will directly benefit our patients and families in the Green River area.”

Donations are accepted at the front door during regular store hours. The store is staffed by both full-time employees and volunteers. With the extended hours, more volunteers are needed to help with receiving, sorting and pricing donations; placing and straightening items on the sales floor; and assisting customers. Free training is provided, with the next one scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 18, 9 a.m. to noon.
