  • Hosparus Health Hosts Annual Kourageous Kids Holiday Party

  • News

To help make the holiday season a little brighter for seriously ill children and their families, Hosparus Health was pleased to host our annual Kourageous Kids Christmas party on Dec. 13. Guests enjoyed a delicious dinner, crafts, face painting, pictures with Santa, fun and fellowship. The families look forward to it all year, and everyone had a jolly old time!

We are so grateful for all the businesses and community volunteers who came together to help these amazing kids and their loved ones make the most of this special time of year, despite their health challenges. Hosparus Health’s Kourageous Kids pediatric hospice and palliative care program has been caring for our community’s sickest children since 1980.

This annual event would not be possible without our sponsors. The generous employees at Beach Mold & Tool donate to the company’s Wishing Well Foundation to provide hundreds of gifts for our Kourageous Kids and their siblings each year. This year, Cave Hill Cemetery also stepped up to provide additional gifts for our newest patients.

Thanks to St. Matthews Baptist Church for donating one of their fellowship halls for our party; Thank you to Texas Roadhouse for donating all the delicious food and drink, and thanks to their wonderful employees for also volunteering to serve everyone in the buffet line; We would also like to thank Nord’s Bakery for donating two adorable, delicious sheet cakes; Thanks to Kendra Scott for donating jewelry and Clayton & Crume for providing leather accessories as door prizes for the moms and dads in attendance; and We’d also like to thank our awesome photographer Bill Wine, Kathy Oros of Premier Face Painting, Derby City Selfie and Millennium Events for the beautiful decorations!

We want to offer a shout out to the countless volunteers donated their time to wrap the many presents. You all helped us put huge smiles on the faces of these special kids and their families!
