  • Employee Spotlight: Sarah Williams

  • Employee

Sarah Williams has worked in the Hosparus Health Center for Performance Excellence (also known as the Education Department) as the Training & Development Specialist, Level II for the past 6 ½ years. Sarah oversees general orientation along with other specific programs for the organization. “I always have what we are currently teaching in the back of my mind. As needs evolve for the organization, I look at how that fits with what we are currently doing, and what needs to possibly be updated,” she says. She also routinely works on eLearning modules and other training projects as requests come in. “A lot of what I do is seen only by Hosparus staff, but occasionally I will assist with materials presented at national conferences, and that is exciting. My typical day isn’t very typical most days- and I love that!”

“Sarah brings a wealth of talent and creativity to her work. She is always willing to assist leaders and staff with their presentations whether they are for Hosparus Health or for national conferences. Sarah coordinates our general orientation process and has made it exceptional. Thank you Sarah!” – Deborah May, Sarah’s supervisor

Prior to Hosparus Health, Sarah worked for University Hospital in the Staff Performance & Development Office. She oversaw orientation, monitored Patient Perception of Care (HCAHPS) survey results to better adapt staff training for customer service-related areas, and served as the Communications Chair on the Diversity Committee. When asked why she chose to come to work for Hosparus Health, Sarah’s response was heartfelt and sincere, “My role at Hosparus is to support the staff that are supporting our patients and families, and I take a lot of pride in that. I hope at the end of the day that I’ve made a positive impact to the organization and to the staff that I interact with.”

Outside of Hosparus Health, Sarah’s favorite things to do include traveling and spending time with family and friends. “I live in Louisville, and I love going to Cherokee Park and exploring new restaurants and things to do. I don’t have kids, but I love animals. I only have one cat (Dougal), but he keeps me busy- his nickname at the vet is “Mr. Excitement” and it is well earned!”

“Sarah always knows when to lend a hand. She is a savvy problem solver. She is passionate about her work, and her positive attitude is infectious.” -Coworker
